3. ST. CHRISTOPHER’S SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF

St. Christopher’s School for the Deaf is located in Brown’s Town, St. Ann, amidst the Dry Harbor Mountains overlooking the sea, which accounts for the cool climate. This school is unique as it is endowed with a rich history. With 12 students, the school was established in 1943 by the late Reverend F. G. Gilby, an Anglican minister from England, and continues to be affiliated with the church. Covering over 26 acres of land, it is the oldest residential school for the deaf in the English-speaking Caribbean. Their mission is to create a community where excellence, communication, accountability, and respect help everyone reach their full potential.

4. COGITATIONIST APPROACH TO BEING BETTER (CABB)

The CABB Foundation is committed to empowering perinatal HIV-positive adolescents aged 13- 23 in St. Ann, Jamaica. Their mission is to inspire hope, foster healing, and provide a strong foundation for these young individuals, working to diminish feelings of worthlessness, low self-esteem, and susceptibility to abuse. CABB provides mentorship and support to help these adolescents harness their talents and achieve both personal and professional success.

Annual Medical Missions

Agape Missions International Inc. is dedicated to spreading abundant love through ministry and healthcare, particularly in underserved communities. Each year, our devoted team of medical practitioners, nurses, ministers, and volunteers comes together as missionaries to meet the diverse healthcare and spiritual needs of individuals in these areas. Since 2015, we have traveled to various parishes across Jamaica, offering essential services to the less fortunate.

Our comprehensive offerings include quick dental services such as cleanings and simple extractions, as well as medical and gynecological care, and the provision of reading glasses and medicines. While attending to their physical health, we also prioritize the spiritual well-being of our participants. Each individual has the opportunity to be uplifted through the sharing of God’s word, faith, and prayer, as we believe that salvation and coming to know the Lord as their savior is at the heart of our mission.

If you follow Jesus, know that God has a role for you in this vital work. We warmly invite you to volunteer your services, gifts, time, or talents and be a part of our impactful cross-cultural global ministry.
